Log into your 4theFile account, go to the "My Account" section and add your new email address. You'll receive an email at the new address with a confirmation link. After you confirm the new address, go back to "My Account" and click "make primary". If you're not going to use the old address any more you can delete it from your account; the Resources you submitted from the old address will still be associated with your account.
We automatically assign you "ownership" of Resources submitted from confirmed email addresses associated with your account so they show up on your Resource list and you can delete, redact, or assign them to a Collection. If you use more than one email address (e.g. your work address and your gmail address), you may find it useful to aggregate submitted Resources in one 4theFile account.
Probably not. An address can only be associated with one account, so if your team members add their addresses to your account they can't have other private Resources. A better solution is to set up a Collection under your account, and have your team submit project-related Resources to the Collection's special email address. See the Collection FAQ for more info
You'll receive a confirmation email at the new address with a confirmation link. You need to click the confirmation link to prove that you have access to the new email account.
Once you've confirmed the address, any Resources you previously submitted from that address, as well as any submitted from that address in the future, will be automatically associated with your account and can be viewed through your Resources page.
That's where we send any account notifications or forgotten password help messages.
Resources submitted from that address in the future will no longer be automatically associated with your account. However, existing Resources will NOT be deleted from your account.
If the email account you submitted the Resource from belongs to you, just add the email address to your 4theFile account as described above.
If you don't plan to submit Resources from this account in the future, use the "edit link" in the Resource confirmation email and assign the Resource to a Collection owned by your 4theFile account.
